Of the buildings illustrated most are large, beautiful Victorian homes with all the variation and detail imaginable. It also contains country cottages or villas, barns, city brownstones, and town homes or'Flats'; as well as city business buildings with store fronts. Elevation and scale notations are included, as well as floor plans. All of the fashionable details are included, with custom woodwork for porches, mantles, cornices, doors, windows and fences laid out.

In the vary back are illustrated advertisement for architects, construction companies, trades and products. Size: 13.25 by10.5 inches, approximates 170 pages (unnumbered). Hinges cracked and weak, worn spine with tears, damp stain to fore edge of front pages not affecting images, illustrations clean and intact.
