Condition: Refer to the pictures. The book itself is stunning in every way. The jacket, notoriously fragile and equally as scarce, ranks among the finest a collector might find. This gray and gold jacket precedes the second issue white and green, which is more common.

This publisher, as did Hodder, switched over to the green and white as the first issue jacket was prone to extreme fading. Other such copies show this kind of wear, which is particularly harmful to the aesthetic. This jacket lacks such fading. The principal fault is a slight misalignment of the jacket, such that the spine panel slightly encroaches on the back panel.
