Hill, in exceedingly well preserved condition. Includes a moveable Astral Wheel, only found in the first edition. 128 pages, with beautiful illustrations. The boards and binding are solid and tight with minimal shelfwear. The pages are crisp and clean save for some small notations on the margins of the introduction.

Credited with writing one of the first comprehensive 19th-century studies on Astral Worship, Dr. Hill explores the foundations of astrology and explores its influence on religions, rituals and holidays that are commonly practiced today. Astral worship or Astrolatry is the worship of stars and other heavenly bodies as deities, or the association of deities with heavenly bodies.

The most common instances of this are sun gods and moon gods in polytheistic systems worldwide. Astrolatry is the association of the planets with deities in the Babylonian, and Greco-Roman religion.
