Will Frackelton was not your typical Dentist. Able to hold his own in the wild days of the west, Frackelton commonly practiced dentistry on and was well known by such notorious figures as Butch Cassidy, Bill Cody, Frank Grouard, and Calamity Jane. A crack-shot and above average with his fists, Frackelton often would as a way of getting initiated into a new community, and to get his name out, engage in a boxing match with the local tough. Starting out in Sundance, Wyoming in late 1800's Frackelton shortly thereafter moved to and settled down in Sheridan, Wyoming a short while after its founding by J. Frackelton was considered an integral part of the community along the Big Horns and was often referred to in matters ranging from dentistry to justice and even making a deal with President Taft in his later years. Living in Skagway just long enough to be considered a Sourdough, Frackelton describes having lived there for "twenty-five years and one winter" Being well known and considered one with the Crow Indians of Montana, Frackelton was often called on deal with the Indians on such matters as a reenactment of Custer's Last Stand. (which happened only 26 years prior and still a issue of some contention).
