Spine and Blue covers faded at edges, small split between spine and backcover at top and corners slightly bumped. This book by Ali FoadTouba, English redactor to the cabinet of the king of Egypt recounts his two voyagesto Ceylon in 1921 and 1924. He went to Ceylon in the summer of 1921 to enjoy along due summer holiday and he confesses that he never intended to write andaccount of it. But in the subsequent penning of this experiences he makes it tobe known that'I have merely recorded things, and jotted down my impressionsjust as they have accused to me from each time I self-disposed to take up mypen.
In other words, I have merely brought out in print what might haveconveyed in conversation, in a frank and natural way, unbounded by conventionto any friend wishing to partake of my experiences in this lovely land'.
