Original Leaf from the First Edition of Homer's Odyssey. Printed at Florence in 1488 by Bartolommeo di Libri from type designed by Demetrios Damilas; edited by Demeterios Chalkondulas; published under the patronage of Bernardo and Nerio Nerli of Florence. A single leaf in Greek. 10.5" x 6.5".

In a frame with silk border with the outer measurement of 14" x 11.5". There is some slight discoloration to the leaf.

I have never examined it outside of the frame however you can see that there is text on the other side. On the back of the frame some information is provided and in a pocket is four page dealer's catalog description presumably from when the prior owner acquired this decades ago.
