First Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Uncommon. This book weighs 1.5 KG when packed. First edition of The Wonderland of the Eastern Congo by Thomas Alexander Barns in the original publisher's cloth binding. The Region of the Snow-Crowned Volcanoes, the Pygmies, the Giant Gorilla, and the Okapi. With an introduction by Sir H.

Illustrated with 108 photographs, many taken by the author, on monochrome plates and a folding map to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding. There is some wear to the cloth. There is bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is a tear to the cloth on the rear joint.

There is some marking to the boards and the spine. The hinges are starting but firm. The first few pages, including the title page, are working loose. The pages are bright and clean with some light spotting throughout. Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear.

Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy. Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones. Often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy. Some more serious faults as will.
