Some spotting and wrinkling to cloth on rear board. Off-setting to endpapers and paste-downs. Inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, With the appreciative regards of the author. Born at Wallingford, CT, March 2, 1824; Yale'45. Hyde Park, Mass, April 24, 1899. Carrington was a Brigadier General during the Civil War.
