Thanks for taking a look at this rare and very clean first edition/first printing of "The Cat In The Hat" by Dr. Seuss that I have listed for sale. Please look carefully at all of the pictures I've included with this listing.

I believe that you too will see how nice this book really is! Published in New York: Random House, 1957. Unglazed (matte) paper covered boards, with pages bound in single-signature.

This book does contain the all important single signature, one of the marks of an authentic copy of a first edition/first printing. It's 61 pages long and has "the message" in the back of the book contained in an outline of the cat's hat & head. Unfortunately, it does not have a dust cover jacket. However, once you take a look at the pictures, you'll see that this copy is solid and in exceptional condition for being an original first edition/first printing from 1957. There are no rips, tears, stains, writing or imprints in this book.
