A Book of Pictorial Perspective by Gwen White, Rare 1st Edition, 1954. This is a vintage, rare and collectable first edition published in 1954. This innovative book was designed to help understand perspective for the artist, illustrator, designer and architect and the many ways perspective can be used in illustration and drawing.
Gwen White shows the different applications of perspective in such a way that each page has a colour illustration on one side and - when held up - the other side can be seen which superimposes the required construction lines. I can't find another for sale anywhere but believe there are copies in a number of institutions (for example the British Library hold a copy). Condition: The book itself is in excellent condition for nearly 70 years old with clean pages and binding all intact. Spine is good but some very small indentations on the ends of it. There are a few age / discolouration marks on the very edges of some the pages which are c 1 - 2 mm.
The dust jacket is pretty good condition. It has strong colour but also has some signs of wear on the top edge and a slight tear (c 5mm) and some age markings and discolouration - particularly the back - please see pictures.
Thank you for your interest.
