First Edition 1933 State Fair by Phil Strong Hard Cover with Dust Jacket

  
Published 1932 by Century Co. Subject: Fictional tale of Iowa family enjoying the State Fair. Taken from author's experience growing up with Iowa state fair connections and as newspaper reporter for the Des Moines Register.

Musicals and movies based on book. Used hardcover copy, no gift notes, rare acceptable copy. Most notable issue is dust jacket worn out - spine has broken off dust jacket, but still retained. Dust jacket adhering to book on inside.

Top of 1st page has tear as seen in photograph #5. Stamps from previous book vendor in flyleaf. Previous owner's initials on flyleaf. Excluding dust jacket, book shows mild shelf ware. Edge discoloration, but no foxing or brittleness.

Blue fabric covering has bottom edge discoloration on spine. Pages and spine tightly bound without evidence of splits. Dimensions: 8-3/8" Tall x 5.75" Wide x 1.5 Deep. Unpacked weight: 1 pound, 5 oz.

Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. All dimensions and weights approximate.

I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition - this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
