Beautiful brown leather embossed spine with gilt title on brown; blue/green boards. Scattered foxing on plates as is common for these; text blocks largely clean/clear. Has the vignette title page with the original left hand "hook" illustration; lines on the bottom of page 284 have "Delight" instead of "Joy". Dark plate illustration on page 547.

Eight line errata as present in the first issue. No quotation marks surrounding The Party on page xv.
