A STORY OF AN EASTERN RIVER. Nous n'a eu sa terre promise, son jour d'extase et i sa fin en exil? The Colonial issue was as per the domestic issue except that page 2 contains a publisher's advertisement listing four titles in Unwin's Colonial Library.

This copy is the "first state" printing with misprints on page 110 (dropped "e" and "of" towards the bottom of the page) and with a missing full stop/period in the headline on page 43. The cover is rubbed and worn in places, appears to be rebound, and has a University library sticker on the front.

Inside the front cover is a bookplate, partly obscured, indicating that the University library copy was presented by Mrs J. There are some other library stamps and stickers inside the front cover. There is an inscription on the half-title page dated 6.6.96. Internally, once past the inside cover, the pages are in very good condition - clean, with no library markings. Page 129 is becoming loose.
