Here we offer the first retail edition, 8th printing, of the epic science fiction novel, Frank Herbert's Dune, published by Chilton Book Company, Radnor, PA. The book is dated "1965", but it was actually printed in 1972. The number 5077 is imprinted on the lower spine, which, along with the number line (8 9 0 4 3 2 1 0), places it as an 8th printing. The first printing, valued at many times as much as this edition, is identified as having blue cloth and no ISBN number. >Also included is a laminated map of the Lands of Dune. Boards have minor edgewear and a few small marks please see pics. Intact, clean endpapers bear an unsigned bookplate. Binding is very tight and square; the text is very clean, bright and crisp. The book measures approximately 9.25 x 6.25-inches. The dust jacket has minor edgewear and a bit of wrinkling to rear foldover flap. It comes sleeved in ph-neutral mylar and ready to slip into your collection.
