Growing up in coastal Virginia the revolutionary war was real to me. Living close to Yorktown, Bacon's Castle, Colonial Williamsburg etc... I grew up immersed in history. I later went on to serve 10 years in the infantry and tried to emulate his leadership principles in mine.

This book is part of my collection until someone wants it more than me. "Life of Nathanael Greene" is a biography of the American Revolution general by William Gilmore Simms. Nathanael Green through his resourcefulness, tactical abilities, and capacity to lead was in many respects responsible for undermining the British'Southern Strategy' to subdue the Carolinas and Virginia, thereby winning the American Revolution.

Beautifully embossed hardcover with some lose to top and bottom of spine. A little water staining on the last couple of pages of the book.

Staining Mostly on blank pages. Overall book is in great condition for age.
