Longmans, Green and Company, New York, London and Bombay. Title and pictorial elements are stamped in gilt on the brown cloth front cover and spine. Cover is frayed and warped. Cloth cover is worn with surface scratches. Corners are rounded and frayed.

Most all pages are imperfect with spotting, wrinkles and wear to the edges. 8 Color plates are present. One color plate, (Habogis Horses) is free from the binding and missing the tissue insert. There are numerous black and white illustrations throughout the book. Book has a slight odor.
