Roberts was a Jamaican journalist, poet, and novelist who is often credited with being the first African American (he moved to the States as a young adult) to write a mystery novel. This book is a romantic novel, and is seldom seen, especially in its Art Deco dust jacket. Blue clothbound book and dust jacket are in good vintage condition, with signs of wear and age such as edge-wear, faint soiling, a small tear to top of front jacket, and some discoloring to cloth hinge. Jacket will come in protective Mylar sleeve.
