1 on the FFEP in black ink in Italian. A rare inscribed first edition set with the Supplement revisions from 1957 tipped-in to the two volumes. Volume 1 : Canons 1-869 and 871 pp. Hardcovers with red cloth and gold titling on spine.

Light shelf wear and bumping - light soiling to Vol. 2 - bottom edge of the text blocks with a small black smudge near the fore edge. Includes the Supplement of additions and changes to the first edition that were incorporated into the 1957 revised edition.

These revisions are individually separated from the Supplement and tipped-in at their proper places in the 2 books. Each change was torn by perforations and neatly adhered into place by a gummed sheet.

1 page 858 there is a tear at top of the tipped-in sheet, but it is still firmly attached to the original page. Both with edge wear, edge tears and mild soiling.
